Verizon is asking President Barack Obama to stop an import ban on Apple products issued by the International Trade Commission. The ban came after the ITC decided that Apple had infringed on an encoding technology patented by Samsung. The ban could mean Apple and its partners could soon run out of the iPhone 4. "Unless the administration intervenes, the ban could be in effect by Aug. 5," wrote Verizon's head lawyer, Randal Milch.
