Report: U.S. chain store sales rise fourth consecutive week

U.S. chain store retail sales rose 0.4% for the week ended July 23, the International Council of Shopping Centers and UBS reported. "Hot weather goods continued to sell well, while back-to-school demand seemingly is slow going," said Michael Niemira, ICSC's chief economist.
