AT&T: Site was blocked to stop denial-of-service attack

Access to Web site 4chan.org was blocked temporarily by AT&T out of concerns that its subscribers would be the victims of a denial-of-service attack the ISP said was tied to IP addresses linked to 4chan. AT&T, which has since restored service to the site, said the site's content was not at issue, only the need to shield its subscribers from "malicious traffic."
