Black & Decker posts Q2 profit of $38.3M

Black & Decker posted earnings of $38.3 million for the second quarter, a 60% drop from the year before. However, earnings of 63 cents per share exceeded analysts' expectations of 37 cents per share. Black & Decker also increased its full-year earnings per share guidance to $1.65 to $2 per share, even though it slightly decreased its sales forecast.
