California uses BIM on major highway project

The California Department of Transportation is using building information modeling software developed by Autodesk to preview work on a major San Francisco highway project. The software was used to produce a video that shows a new divided roadway, landscaped medians and tunnels. The technology also allows engineers and architects to modify their plans quickly by reformatting the models.
