Camp offers haven for children with Tourette syndrome

A new summer camp for children with Tourette syndrome aims to create a fun atmosphere without self-consciousness as well as provide a boost of confidence. Many of the campers at Camp Twitch and Shout in Georgia have been harassed because of the involuntary noises and movements the syndrome causes them to make. The camp, which hosts children between the ages of 7 and 18, is one of five in the country offering a weeklong experience for children with Tourette syndrome.
