Chewing gums tout health benefits, and consumers are biting

In the past two years, sugarless chewing gums from Cadbury and Wm. Wrigley Jr. have won seals of approval from the American Dental Association, and gum brands also promise to strengthen enamel, kill germs that cause bad breath, and even help chewers avoid snacking. Revenue for sugarless brands has grown 6% in a year.
