Palm Beach resort composts leftover food into fertilizer

The Breakers resort in Palm Beach, Fla., has started composting leftovers from its eight restaurants and one banquet facility. The compost is applied to the 140-acre property as fertilizer or mulch. "It's chock-full of all the micro elements that are good for plant growth and health," said Lloyd Singleton, landscape manager.
