Sainsbury offering 4,500 nonfood items on Web site

J Sainsbury has introduced thousands of nonfood products, including home electronics, toys, furniture and kitchenware, on its Web site. The retailer's site also has advice on high-tech products and a tool for comparing prices. The development "further emphasises that non-food is key to Sainsbury's growth strategy for the future", said Mike Coupe, trading director for the UK retailer.
