Farm-to-school efforts bring healthy foods to curriculum, cafeteria

Kentucky is among a growing number of states, local governments and school districts participating in farm-to-school initiatives to bring healthy foods into the curriculum and cafeteria. These programs, which also help sustain farmers, are being organized and funded by private groups, volunteer organizations and even AmeriCorps, which will start Food Corps next month.
