Senators question nominees to lead OCC and FDIC

The Senate banking committee questioned Martin Gruenberg, nominated to lead the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., and Thomas Curry, President Barack Obama's choice to head the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The nominees told lawmakers that they would aim to convince markets that the era of "too big to fail" has passed. Curry and Gruenberg also said that they support higher capital standards for banks.
