8x8 issues upgrade for Virtual Office PBX

8x8, a provider of VoIP solutions, has expanded its suite of cloud-based voice services to address enterprises' needs, including a need to handle multiple incoming calls. The company's Virtual Office PBX now includes Virtual Receptionist -- which fields up to six concurrent calls and monitors the status of office phones -- and Group Intercom Multicast Paging, a live paging system that can be programmed to manage up to 23 customer-defined paging groups. Both new features rely on Polycom's VVX 500 IP phone.
