St. Barnabas Hospital to use Eclipsys' CPOE system

New York-based St. Barnabas Hospital unveiled plans to deploy Sunrise Acute Care, a computerized physician order entry system developed by Atlanta-based Eclipsys, as part of its transition to electronic health records. The CPOE solution will help the hospital meet meaningful use standards of EHRs, "which will deliver the dual benefit of ARRA funding and improved care coordination and clinical decision support across our care environments," St. Barnabas's chief information officer said.
