Amazon adds Facebook functions to make shopping more social

Online consumers can now connect their Amazon and Facebook accounts, as part of an alliance aimed at making shopping at Amazon more of a social experience. Users who opt to connect the two will see their Facebook profiles appear on Amazon, along with friends' birthdays, gift suggestions and ideas for purchases based on what their friends are buying.
