Asian businesses need leaders, not managers

Many organizations in the Asia-Pacific region fail because of leadership problems, writes Ray Tsuchiyama -- and Western companies often make matters worse by sending in sales-focused managers rather than inspiring and visionary leaders. In Asia, Tsuchiyama argues, what matters is the ability to inspire passion and respect, and that means corporate technocrats will never succeed unless they're also able to win the love and loyalty of their workers.
