Edgy celebrity chef and cookbook author Silvena Rowe's latest book is the result of a yearning to discover her culinary roots amid the little-known cuisines of Syria, Turkey and Bulgaria. The book that resulted was "Purple Citrus & Sweet Perfume," which will form the basis of a new restaurant menu when Rowe takes over the kitchen at London's May Fair Hotel.
