Chest compressions are as effective as standard CPR, studies show

Two studies found that survival rates were similar for adults who received cardiopulmonary resuscitation from bystanders randomly assigned to give only chest compressions and those who were asked to provide traditional CPR with compressions and mouth-to-mouth breathing.
