Column: New water ordinance hurts L.A. conservation

The Los Angeles City Council recently passed an ordinance that would allow lawn watering an extra day a week, which could hurt years of progress with water conservation, writes columnist Emily Green. The city was able to decrease water consumption by more than 20% with stricter laws, and Green claims the new ordinance of one extra day won't keep all lawns green.
