Diabetes Sentry hopes to get funding for blood glucose monitor

Diabetes Sentry Products hopes to secure as much as $1.5 million in financing to further develop a watchlike device that can warn diabetic patients when their blood-sugar levels are too low. However, some experts say the device, which uses a sensor to track a patient's skin temperature and perspiration, might be outpaced by new glucose monitors and insulin pumps.
