GPRE calls for incentives to boost ethanol's infrastructure

Green Plains Renewable Energy supports phasing out the tax credit for ethanol blending, in favor of new incentives for blender pumps, flexible-fuel vehicles and other infrastructure improvements to expand the market for ethanol, said CEO Todd Becker. "We believe the industry needs to grow up and the blender credit needs to go away. But we need to be able to get our fuel to the marketplace," he added.
