North Dakota cites increase in May oil-production numbers

Daily production figures in North Dakota's oil patch have doubled, from an average of 150,578 barrels in April 2008 to about 300,000 barrels at present. This has helped the state set a production record in May, in which it yielded 9.2 million barrels after collecting 8.5 million barrels in April, said Lynn Helms, head of the state's Department of Mineral Resources.
