Orders for durable goods continued to decline last month

Durable goods orders decreased 1% to a seasonally adjusted $190.5 billion in June, the second consecutive monthly drop. Among the losers were machinery and primary metals. But not all categories of goods were in decline. Demand for capital equipment saw improvement.
