Protein-mapping project enlists biologists, studies human proteins

The Protein Structure Initiative has launched a new phase, called PSI:Biology, that will allow its protein-structure research facilities to collaborate with biologists for the next five years to study various proteins used in medicine, such as the G protein-coupled receptors. The program also aims to study more human proteins, which are more complex than bacterial proteins.
