Summer trips expand learning for students with disabilities

Students in special education at one California high school are participating in summer trips to a fire station, a horse ranch and a county park, where they learned fishing techniques. The summer events are aimed at involving students in more community activities. "We kind of want them to have all kinds of experiences to widen their knowledge," a special-education teacher said.
