Several South Dakota teachers are using vodcasting -- video podcasting -- to record their lessons and post them online where students can view and review them. "If we're going through new information, we're talking about a lecture for 50 minutes," one teacher said. "At the end, kids are writing furiously, not keeping up, and if they miss something, it's gone." Using vodcasting, teachers say students learn most new material at home -- where they can pause or hear it again. In class, teachers focus on helping students with assignments and practicing what they have learned.
