BNSF to work with WSDOT on enhancing Amtrak Cascades service

BNSF will partner with the Washington State Department of Transportation on a track upgrading project for Amtrak Cascades. WSDOT said the project will involve the construction of bypass tracks and enhancement of existing rail lines used by both BNSF and Amtrak. The state received $781 million in high-speed rail grants and will put about $400 million of that into the project.
