Experts link metabolic syndrome to liver cancer

Metabolic syndrome was more common in 37.1% of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and 29.7% of those with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, a study found. The findings, published in the August issue of Hepatology, suggest that metabolic disorders may be associated with liver cancer, experts said.
