Silk completes non-GMO verification

Silk gained verification from nonprofit Non-GMO Project that its soy milk, coconut milk and almond milk are 99.1% free of genetically modified organisms. Because 93% of soybeans grown in the U.S. are genetically modified, no products can claim to be entirely free of GMOs, but Silk and other companies, including Whole Foods Market, are seeking the verification as proof that they got close.
