Will Summers' financial connections hurt him?

Some say that Lawrence Summers' paid consulting jobs for Citigroup and other financial institutions will hurt his chances to become the next Federal Reserve chairman. However, President Barack Obama's stated wish for someone to "keep inflation in check" and "keep our dollar sound" appears to favor Summers over Janet Yellen, the current vice chair of the Fed. Obama is not expected to nominate a new Fed chairman until fall.
