Studies confirm that acupuncture reduces hot flashes

An analysis of 12 clinical trials covering 869 menopausal women found that various forms of acupuncture consistently reduced the frequency and severity of hot flashes. The study was published in the journal Menopause. The article also describes other ways to relieve hot flashes, including reducing stress levels, taking black cohosh supplements, avoiding spicy foods, and eating foods rich in soy and vitamins E and C.
