Frito-Lay tussles with regional snack companies over ads

Frito-Lay's Chicago ad campaign which contends the city's residents prefer its chips over regional favorite Jays -- a campaign that was temporarily blocked by a judge last week -- is one of several efforts by the nation's potato chip leader to compete with regional snack companies. Frito-Lay has placed similar billboards about Utz in Pennsylvania and Old Dutch Foods in Minnesota.
