GenVec begins testing new AIDS vaccine

GenVec said it has begun a clinical trial on a new AIDS vaccine designed to create immunity against several strains of the virus at once. The company said the effort is aimed at three worldwide strains of the disease that have developed in different geographic regions of the world, and it works by engaging the two primary forms of the body's immune system.
