Florida to end team teaching

The Florida Department of Education has ruled that effective 2006 districts no longer can count large classrooms with two teachers as the equivalent of two smaller classrooms to comply with the class-size amendment. However, districts may continue to use team teaching for part of a class period, and many educators like the approach, which allows one teacher to work with individual students while the other teaches the class.
