New Jersey schools chief to resign

William L. Librera, New Jersey's commissioner of education since 2002, has announced he'll step down in September to take a job at Rutgers University's Graduate School of Education. During his tenure Librera overhauled the state's curriculum standards and worked to boost funding to the state's neediest schools.
