Constant gene mutations make MRSA superbug daunting foe

The hospital superbug methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus can mutate on a daily basis to evade different types of antibiotics, according to new research. The scientists said doctors may one day be able to track resistance in real time and adjust a patient's drug therapy as resistance develops.
