Businesses say labor cost is additional increase to bear

Some small-business owners in Mississippi say they are feeling squeezed by last week's increase in the minimum-wage law. The increase in labor costs comes at the same time businesses are paying more for food, goods and utilities. "We're really seeing both go up at the same time, so we're really getting squeezed," said Patrick Walls, an executive with the McAllister's restaurant chain.
