Dean Foods reduces environmental impact at Calif. plant

Dean Foods partnered with California-based eps corp. to reduce its carbon footprint at a milk-processing plant in California. Excess heat used to power the dairy plant will be regenerated to produce steam and hot water, a process known as cogeneration. The energy company has previously installed similar systems at two Dean locations in other states.
