Revamped disclosure rules better for franchisees

The FTC's revised disclosure rules for franchisors took effect on July 1. The rules require franchisors to disclose more information and simplifies franchise turnover, transfers and terminations. David French, vice president of government relations for the International Franchise Association, said the association is "pleased" with the changes. "The quality of presale disclosure has been strengthened."
