Ad industry responds to Microsoft-Yahoo! hookup

The advertising world appears to be backing the search deal recently struck by Yahoo! and Microsoft, saying it makes the online ad market more competitive. WPP Group chief executive Martin Sorrell said: "This is extremely encouraging and introduces more balance into the search and display markets. It is good for our clients and our agencies and for regulators."
