Calif. labs testing new clinical medical tools

Kaiser Permanente's innovations lab in San Leandro, Calif., and the Center for Virtual Care at the UC Davis Medical Center are testing grounds for new, cost-saving high-tech and low-tech health care tools. Kaiser is working on a robotic cart called TUG and hand-held electronic tablets. UC Davis is testing new patient simulators and robotic arms for surgery that improve patient care and make it more efficient.
