Frontier reports $12.6M Q2 profit

The parent company of Frontier Airlines has reversed its fortunes and reported a second-quarter net profit of $12.6 million. A bankruptcy judge has approved a plan for Frontier to be absorbed by Republic Airways Holdings for $108.8 million. That news didn't prevent Frontier from bouncing back from a second quarter net loss of $57.7 million in 2008.
