Land sale could usher in convention center hotel for Kennewick

The City Council in Kennewick, Wash., approved a deal this week to sell land to a developer planning a headquarters hotel for the city's Three Rivers Convention Center. The Provost Group is the buyer of the 2.25 acres of city land, and the developer's plans call for a multistory hotel, including amenities such as a restaurant, bar and pool.
