Popular in Asia, QR codes could break out in U.S.

Quick response codes -- scannable bar codes that contain downloadable information like URLs and e-mail addresses -- may soon get wider exposure in the U.S. They're popular in Asia, where mobile users interact with QR codes via mobile phone or other device. QR codes are showing up in a campaign for the upcoming film "9" and were part of the print campaign for the Green Day album "21st Century Breakdown."
