Senate passes $34.3B energy, water bill

The U.S. Senate passed an energy and water bill by an 85-9 vote on Wednesday. The bill will allocate $34.3 billion for a variety of projects, including closing the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste facility in Nevada. The bill also funds hundreds of water projects planned by the Army Corps of Engineers.
