House of Representatives honors freight railroad industry

The U.S. House of Representatives honored freight railroads with a resolution this week recognizing the industry and its employees for the "critical role" freight railroads have played in U.S. economic development. Ed Hamberger, president of the Association of American Railroads, expressed gratitude on behalf of the industry. "Whether it's by supporting millions of American jobs, keeping the things we buy and use more affordable, or easing traffic congestion and lowering greenhouse gas emissions, freight rail provides tremendous benefits to America," he said.
