Partnership aims to make hospital rooms "smarter"

IBM will work with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center to bring to the market "smart" hospital room technology that automatically organizes and prioritizes nurses' and other providers' tasks. "Our SmartRoom solution tackles the everyday problems of simplifying work flow, making documentation easier and giving nurses more quality time at the bedside," a UPMC unit executive said.
