Study: 2 diabetes drugs increase fracture risk in older patients

Researchers who evaluated an earlier observational study found that postmenopausal women with Type 2 diabetes who suffered fractures were more likely to have used thiazolidinediones, such as diabetes drugs Avandia and Actos. Among diabetic men, only those who used a combination of TZDs and loop diuretics were at an increased risk of fracture.
