Teachers take on role of facilitators using computer modules

The installation of computer modules at a Louisiana middle school will support a more "student-driven" method of instruction that allows teachers to act as facilitators, educators say. Using the modules -- which will help reinforce science and math lessons -- students will take pre- and post-tests to allow teachers to see what has been learned. The tests also will gauge whether students can apply their knowledge. The modules are expected to boost classroom lessons by combining instruction and experiments.
