Ariz. students spend a week on "Camp Zoo" field trip

A group of 18 seventh- and eighth-grade students from Dateland, Ariz., recently spent a week on a field trip to the Phoenix Zoo and other destinations. The out-of-town adventure, funded by First Solar, was filled with team-building activities and other learning opportunities and represented the first time some of the students had visited the state's capital city. "The program is truly a unique, eye-opening and inspiring experience," said Pat Koury, superintendent of the Dateland Elementary School District.
