Coca-Cola CEO: Gender equality is good for business

Companies benefit when there is gender parity in leadership roles, according to Muhtar Kent, chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola. Kent, who participated in the Network of Executive Women Executive Leaders Forum, said he noticed the importance of equality after becoming president of Coca-Cola International. "It dawned on me as I looked at the percentage of leadership and young executives who were women that there was a disconnect with the people who buy our products, who are 70% women," he said. He has set up the company's Women's Leadership Council to help to address the issue.
